Tour Dates & TV Shows
Liberace and Gershwin
Liberace at the age of 7 played a Chopin Prelude for the great Polish conductor Paderewski, who is reported as having said 'Someday when I have gone, this boy will take my place’. That was not to be, through his television programs in America and England he became one of the most popular entertainers in the world combining, classical and popular music and song. In some notable performances even danced. In this production we bring some of Liberace’s own arrangements, some on 2 pianos’ with Allan Zavod and Dennis Price, including Warsaw Concerto, Strauss, Latin Medley, and Tribute to Liberace.

George Gershwin born in Brooklyn, New York began to play at the age of 12, got his first job at 15 playing in a music publisher’s office. At 21 composed his first full score, for 5 years he remained in musical production.
At the age of 26, he was asked to compose a symphonic jazz work, the result was Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
At once he became world famous as the first ‘jazz symphony writer ‘he turned to Opera when he wrote ‘Porgy and Bess ‘ now part of American national heritage.
He wrote the scores to numerous films including Shall we Dance, Girl Crazy, Lady be Good, from these scores Patti Allen, Delores Rose, Dennis Price and Allan Zavod sing his and his brother Ira’s unforgettable songs Embraceable You, S’Wonderful, I got Rhythm, They can’t take that away from me, Someone to watch over me, and so many more, and from Porgy and Bess Summertime and Dat’s Love.

Patti Allen and Delores Rose include in this program some Garland Classic’s. With world class content and talent this 90 minute production is not too be missed and can be enjoyed by all age’s.
